Red-wattled lapwing

சிவப்பு மூக்கு ஆள்காட்டி (Tamil);   Vanellus indicus 



With Black head, torso and neck, it has a body of copper mixed brown color. It has a white color stomach that ends at the rear of the eyes. Red color thick protrusions that come from eyes appear like a mask. It can be found at the water bodies in Tamilnadu and alarms the other birds and creatures when a hunter or intruder approaches.  It feeds on small  insects, snails and ants.
