நத்தை குத்தி நாரை (Tamil);  Anastomus oscitans 

With white body and black wings and tails, it is about 80 cm tall. The gap in its bill is an unique feature. It feeds mostly on snails. About 50 numbers of these storks were there near kallanai area in the Cauvery river.
