EWET - Workshop, Thanjavur

This October 10th Sunday I gave a talk on 'Bird watching and conservation' at a workshop organized by Endangered Wildlife & Environmental Trust (EWET)' Thanjavur at the forest department auditorium. This workshop was actually for two days (9th and 10th November 2013) mainly for bringing awareness about snakes and nature conservation among college students and public. My talk was scheduled on second day morning. It was well received. The workshop was supported by forest department officials. The talk on snakes by Mr. R. Sathis Kumar, Managing Trustee, EWET, Thanjavur was really interesting and informative. Prior to this talk, live, rescued snakes were shown to the participants and demonstration gave many insights about snakes that cleared many doubts. Mr. Selvam, Forest Extension Officer, Thanjavur and Mr. Elanchezhian, Forester, Thanjavur shared their experiences about  snakes and explained the awareness programs they are conducting at schools.
