The pied Bushchat (Saxicola caprata, கருப்பு வெள்ளைப் புதர்ச்சிட்டு) is a small passerine bird found ranging from West Asia and Central Asia to the Indian subcontinent and Southeast Asia. The pied bushchat is a resident breeder in the Indian subcontinent. Saxicola caprata nilgiriensis (Hugh Whistler, 1940) - Found in the Western Ghats and the Nilgiri Hills. The Bushchats were photographed at Eravikulam National Park located along the Western Ghats in the Idukki district of Kerala in India.
