A swing in the aloneness for Her

Here is a swing for the goddess who is having this peak as Her abode. The peak which has dense sholas in its lap that are hiding unexplainable mysteries to a reasoning mind and the grass lands that adorn Her crown with dewdrops.

What she will do from here when she is in the trance looking at the valley where thousands of clouds surrender at her feet?

In the solitude when insane human desires are not submitting any offerings and prayers… What She will be doing?

SWINGING… in untouched aloneness.

This is the beauty of the native cultures, for which they have to be protected from ‘globalization’. Otherwise we will have an omnipotent institutionalized hindu god protecting the world 24/7 or son of a carpenter in a cross praying for our sins. (No offence here, I am a believer and admirer of Jesus)

Here simply She is enjoying the wind, clouds, mists and fragrance of wild flowers and swinging in all aloneness. No soul to touch her feet with its desire and guilt coated thoughts or prayers.

This is the beauty of tribal mind and soul. I was deeply moved by the swing… It is not possible for a reasoning, institutionalized mind to construct a swing for its GOD. Yes, I know, we have swings in the temples and we conduct ceremonies. But that we do it for our own happiness.

We are not only loosing sholas and native faunas in the ‘growing’ process, but these native cultures that flowered from unreachable past too.

(We went to a trekking trip last December to Kookal (Kodaikanal) and trekked to this peak where there was a temple for small tribal goddess (Pappalai amman). The swing was there for her.)
